13.6m Mobile Blood Donating Unit
Project: to design and build a 13.6m mobile articulated eight bed blood donation unit.
The unit is totally self contained with on board generator, split system air conditioning/heating, fresh and waste water storage etc.
The pod is hydraulically operated together with a hydraulic levelling system which enables the unit to be set up by one person and can be fully operational within 45 minutes of arriving on site.
Entrance:
Reception Counter for two staff, two acoustically insulated interview rooms and a waiting area for ten donors.
Donor Facilities:
Eight individual couches each fitted with folding foot/backrests, cupboard area under for storage and blood mixing equipment, high level storage lockers with adjustable ventilation fans under
Recovery:
Couch and individual seating, galley, segregated staff area with lockable cupboard for personal belongings and seating for four
Key Features
- Separate entrance and exit complete with canopy, platform, steps and handrails, disabled access is provided separately via hydraulic lift access
- 27kva diesel generator housed in acoustic enclosure
- Galley kitchen with laminated work top, inset s/steel bowl, hot and cold water, refrigerator, microwave and high and low level storage cupboards
- Cloakroom with standard flushing toilet and hand basin with hot and cold water supply
